Hi, I am Nitish
A little bit about my voyage I was born and raised in Agra (U.P.) India finished my schooling at a boarding school in Indore. Like, most of the students I was also confused about what to pursue after school, so I jumped on the bandwagon and started studying Bachelor of Commerce at Delhi University. However, just as I graduated I was back to the same stage of constantly thinking about what career to pursue in my life and decided to take a little break. So, I went back to my hometown and started helping my father in my family business. Just after a couple of years, I realized that this isn’t working for me and I definitely need to explore a better option. A friend of mine suggested I go and visit a reputed career counselling agency in Delhi to discuss my future options. The counsellor assigned to me was delightful, however, the agency was like a student export house, all they were after was to sign me up for a course and to the university which paid them the most commissions. Honestly, I was naïve and a little desperate so I took one of the options and came to Melbourne to study Master of Accounting. Upon arriving in Melbourne Australia and attending my first lecture at university, I realized that most of the students were in the same boat as mine clueless and misinformed. Finally, after completing my master’s I thought that now I am finally settled but little did I know that the grind isn’t over, the journey of attaining permanent residency has just commenced. Again, various migration agents with varied advice but no concrete plan, however, my journey took me to the beautiful state of Tasmania where I lived and studied Diploma in Leadership and Management. During this whole expedition, I met a lot of great people, made some amazing friends, and saw some mesmerizing places but one thing that was common among a lot of migrants was a lack of proper guidance. We all squandered some of the most important years of our lives which could have been salvaged with the right career counselling. This is why I am embarking on this journey to share my experience and assist the students who are in a dilemma about the right career path.
